Elinor is a lifelong West Coaster, proudly describing herself as “about 80 years young.” Born in Blackball and later based in Nelson Creek, she spent 15 years running the Nelson Creek Hotel before retiring to Greymouth to enjoy the town’s social life and community spirit.
For more than 30 years, Elinor has been one of Pins & Needles’ most devoted makers. She creates beautifully crafted Baby Matinee Sets, Hoodies, Beanies, Bootees, and her much‑loved Crochet Caps. Knitting has become her favourite retirement pastime, bringing her joy, purpose, and a deep sense of satisfaction, especially when she sees her handmade pieces keeping local babies warm and cosy.
Elinor’s steady hands, creative talent, and generous heart have made her a treasured part of the Pins & Needles story.
