Dianne has been knitting since she was a tween, when she first picked up her needles to make jerseys for her younger brothers. Over the years, what began as a practical skill has grown into a lifelong passion. She describes knitting as both enjoyable and deeply therapeutic, a craft that keeps her hands busy and her mind calm.
Now retired, Dianne pours her time and creativity into making beautifully crafted baby clothing, hats, and booties, with a special love for creating pieces for little ones up to four years old. She takes great joy in seeing families appreciate and use the items she makes, knowing each stitch carries care and intention.
Dianne also knits for a cause close to her heart, regularly donating tiny garments to premature babies at Christchurch Hospital. Her work brings comfort to families and purpose to her days, and she’s proud to be part of the Pins & Needles maker community.
