Deb has been crafting for as long as she can remember, a multi‑skilled maker whose creative journey began at just eight years old. Her mother was her first and most enduring inspiration, teaching her knitting, embroidery, and sewing with the kind of patience and care that becomes part of a family legacy. One of Deb’s earliest memories is sewing pillowcases trimmed with lace alongside her mother and sister, creating something beautiful to carry with them into adulthood.

Crafting has always been woven into Deb’s life in unexpected ways. During her competitive swimming years, a woman taught her to crochet so she’d have something calming to do between races, a perfect fit for Deb, who describes herself as an active relaxer. Making things with her hands helps her slow the world down, breathe, and reconnect.

At 13, Deb knitted her first major project: a bottle‑green V‑neck cardigan with bold red stripes. She still remembers every detail and dreams of recreating it one day, a testament to how deeply her craft memories anchor her.
